Engaging the Storm

McCord Ashton left his career with the navy four years short of full retirement to reconcile a crumbling marriage. When his wife insisted on divorce, he leaves the area to find a fresh start, and takes an eight-year-old boy, Cody, under his wing. He didn’t plan on the romance which blossoms when he encounters the boy’s single mother, Cheryl. When threatening letters and events began harassing Cheryl, McCord comes to her aid. He makes plans to take both Cheryl and Cody on a camping and fishing trip into the wilderness. The excursion turns into a nightmare as they encounter a work party run by a trafficking cartel possessing young girls. McCord and Cheryl rescue three of the girls and push to deliver the young group to safety. McCord is successful, but his biggest challenge comes when the cartel kidnaps Cheryl in retaliation. Can he rescue the woman he loves before time runs out?
